Pumpkin Chai Bread
Amazingly moist, perfect hint of chai and pumpkin together to enjoy on a cool fall day, or any time of the year.
Bring this to your Holiday party and have guests drooling and begging for the recipe.
When I get the urge to bake I might now always have all the ingredients a recipe calls for, so I make things up as I go. Digging thru my baking stash I came across this Tastefully Simple Chai Bread Mix, so decided to add my own touch to it.
Tastefully Simple Sugar and Spice Chai Bread Mix
5 TBLS Melted Butter
3/4 C Water
1/2 C Pumpkin (pure, not pie filling)
Mix all above ingredients together till blended well. Coat a bread pan with cooking spray, pour mixture into pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for about 15 minutes.
Remove from bread pan, and place on wire rack to cool for about another 15-20 minutes.
During this time, mix up the frosting packet that comes with the Tastefully Simple mix. It is essentially powdered sugar and vanilla.
Mix it with 1 TBLS water, and a dash or more of pumpkin pie spice.
While bread is on wire rack, drizzle frosting over the loaf. Let cool another 10 minutes and transfer onto a cutting board, cut and enjoy. This goes perfect with a nice cup of coffee after your dinner. Or, even for breakfast! LOL
