I admit, I am a girly girl when it comes to my bathing and treating my skin good. I love all the fun soaps, creams, gels, bath bombs, and of course, sugar scrubs, to make my skin feel good and smell good. BUT, what I don’t like is buying pre made stuff that I am not sure of the ingredients. So, that is why I choose to make things myself.
This recipe is for a relaxing yet uplifting Peppermint Lavender Sugar Scrub. Gently exfoliate your skin, and sooth it with lavender while the peppermint awakens your mind and senses.
Of course, you can use many different oils for this. Just choose one or two that you love, and blend away. But, check out this recipe of my favorite mix.
Peppermint Lavender Sugar Scrub
25-20 drop of peppermint essential oil (as desired)
5-10 drops of lavender essential oil (as desired)
½ cup of brown sugar
1 and ½ cup of white sugar
½ cup of fractionated coconut oil
½ cup of grapeseed oil
1 teaspoon of salt
Here are the goodies I recommend for this recipe
- In a medium glass bowl, add sugars and salt together. Stir gently.
- Add in coconut oil and grapeseed oil, mix well to combine.
- Gently add in essential oils, stir between drops. Add in drops until desired aroma is achieved.
