Wow… it is amazing to me every day how busy life can be and how fast the days fly by. It is cycle of get up, go to work, come home, go to bed, get up, go to work, come home, go to bed, etc. With how full every day is and how busy life is Nutrisystem is the perfect way to keep in check with a healthy diet. Tony leaves so early for work that packing his lunch is so easy now. No thought of any kind really goes into his lunch pail food for the day. I put in his prepackaged breakfast, lunch, and snack and then add in some nuts, a chicken breast, a piece of fruit and a baggie of some kind of raw veggies. He tends to keep a few of the same staples in his pail like the nuts and chicken and veggies but always has a new and exciting breakfast or lunch choice. Still his favorites are a few of the frozen meals, and the hamburgers. He has gotten to the point that when he has his day’s off he actually puts a bit more thought into his meals. He will eat a small salad or mix things up and do a dinner entree for lunch and a lunch one for dinner. A lot depends on what we are doing that day. And, he even has started making sure he has a snack of some kind when we go to town, because everyone knows when you drive by a fast food place your mouth just starts to water 😉 Keeping healthy snacks with at all times really helps deter the mind.
Tony seems to be hanging in the 180’s and is struggling some with that. He really is working hard at seeing the 170’s, but he knows that sometimes there are hurdles to jump. He is limited on time with work and house projects but has tried to up his workouts a bit. He did run on 3 of his 4 days off this past week, so that is good. And, he almost entered another 5K but we decided at the last minute not to, but he ran a 5K the next day.. at home.
We decided to go to a movie, dinner and out for a few drinks on Saturday night. We each packed out little bag of healthy snacks for the movie. Not sure if that is allowed, but really with the price you pay for a movie you should be able to bring in a whole meal 😉 LOL! We saw The Intern. Not that great of a movie, but still nice alone time with each other. We then went to a restaurant we have not eaten at yet, and both had a burger and fries. We love burgers! But, no appetizers and we both only ate half the fries. And, normally we would both do a double burger, but we had just a single burger each. Then we stopped at a couple bars we had never been too, had a beer at each and headed home. Was a fun night out. So, Tony felt like he was a bit naughty but he only treats himself once a week, but regardless he went for a run and then worked on the house all day which is huge exercise in itself because he is hanging siding. Lots of walking back and forth from house to garage and carrying heavy siding.
Tony is feeling better and finding he isn’t having some of the issues like he had before. He is doing better with his cardio, and doesn’t seem as tired as before. He might not see it, but I do. I see little things changing and that is why to me, the number on the scale isn’t as important as how I see him changing overall. Thanks Nutrisystem.
