Everyone should visit Las Vegas at least once in their lifetime just for the experience. Vegas, as it is affectionately known, brings so much anticipation of a great time you just cannot disappoint yourself. Filled with the saying of “What happens in Vegas stay in Vegas” becomes your permission slip to even greater fun. Here is what you need to take in while in Vegas.
I love to book most of my travel with Expedia.com because you can get some of the best deals there. Check them out.
The very first time I went to Vegas was 1998 and there was not much at that time to find on the internet. Now, you have no excuses to not find the most amazing things happening in Vegas. There are two websites load with Las Vegas happening and deals. They are www.vegas.com and www.lasvegas.com. Grab deals and load up on the happening while you will be in town. There are plenty of shows deals and stay packages on this site. Make sure to register for each casino’s rewards program ahead of time online to look like you know what you are doing or at least get the knowledge of them. Or, check out each casino online and make a list of the ones you want to hit for their shows, or going’s on. There are many and you most likely can’t hit them all so pick 5-10 that tickle your Vegas fancy.
What To Experience
Experience a show or two (or 5). Vegas always has residencies shows running which are amazing. A residence show is where they hire a celebrity to perform a concert series for a certain length of time. Example: Elton John, Cher, Jennifer Lopez and other celebrities accept offers to be in Vegas for months or years at a time and perform. Currently, the Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque Du Soleil is a must see.
Being the HUGE Prince fan I am I knew that there was no way I was leaving Vegas until I saw the Purple Reign show. And, it was at the hotel I was staying at on my last trip so there was no excuses! I loved this show and it made me cry because I am from Minnesota and sadly never did see Prince in concert. So, this was best I was ever gonna get.
My favorite is MJ Live. I have seen MJ Live 2 times in the last year and love it! Check out the video I compiled during the show. There are 2 performers that play MJ, and now I can say I have seen them both. Not the best video as it is a bunch of Snapchat clips all rolled into one story.
Hop On Hop Off City Tour bus ride is a great way to take a guided tour of Vegas. My noteable ones worth mentioning are the Vegas Strip Tour and LV See The Light Tour.
Visit the Vegas Motor Speedway and experience Richard Petty Driving Experience. This is for the thrill of it all. Imagine man handling a real a 600 horsepower NASCAR race car on an actual race car track. This is priceless. There is also an option to race an exotic race car of your dreams while at the track. Why not go ahead and live out your James Bond for 150 minutes? Here is a list of other exciting tours.
Take in a few Museums and Galleries will you are visiting. There is an good list Vegas attractions. My favorites are the Hollywood Car Museum, the Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition and the Erotic Heritage Museum.
There is plenty to explore in Vegas outside of the casinos. Make sure you visit the MGM Hotel, the Bellagio hotel and New York New York hotel to see what Hollywood saw in them. These three hotels are truly worth staying and sightseeing. They each have a uniqueness to them worth acknowledging. Here I am inside New York New York at one of their shops.
So go make some memories of your own that cannot be duplicated or repeated outside of Las Vegas because remember “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” Enjoy. My first trip to Vegas was sort of a honeymoon trip. We stayed on the strip for 5 nights. Second tip was 19 years later (Dec 2016) and we stayed on the strip for 4 nights as well. Then I just went again in July (HOT IN VEGAS IN JULY), for the IdeaFit Expo. I stayed off strip, but yet at a beautiful hotel, The Westgate, and had a blast!
I even got to meet someone famous while at the expo. Part of my time in Vegas was for IdeaFit, and the other for the Blogfest Expo. Todd Durkin was one of the speakers there and I got to meet him. His story was so inspiring and made the whole room cry, even him. He even photo bombed me and my friend Smiley.
