Labor Day might have come and gone, and I might be late sharing my Labor Day Weekend fun, but in my life, things are always late so I live by the motto, better late than never! Right? Life is so busy and I spend my time working working working, but in between all that working I do find time to enjoy some of the simple pleasures, like family and food! Yes, check out that slab of ribs and you tell me, how could I not have enjoyed it!
Being a blogger has it’s perk and one of my favorite perks is that I get to try things I maybe would never have known about. I knew I wanted to plan a family cook out here but just hadn’t had time to put it all together, until I was offered a nice box of some amazing Montgomery Inn Quality Meats and Sauces. I knew that all this food would be a perfect way to bring my family together for a fun day of laughing, talking, sharing, and of course, eating!
My box from Montgomery Inn contained a Barbecue Bonanza Pack. I had baked beans, pulled pork, slow smoked ribs and BBQ sauces. I knew I had a houseful coming so I grabbed some chicken, veggies, baby reds and garlic bread to make sure nobody left here hungry, and happy to say I succeeded.
I was lucky enough to have my Dad, Sister, Brother in Law, son, son’s girlfriend, my nephew and his girlfriend, my hubby and of course a few dogs who also enjoyed some nibbles here and there.
Check out all Montgomery Inn has to offer, and I just know your mouth will be watering as you are placing item in your shopping cart. I love how easy they make things. Nothing needed to be cooked for hours, just heated up. Love that because when I plan family functions the last thing I want is to spend hours in the kitchen meal prepping. Tony threw the chicken (which had to be cooked), on the grill and when it was about done, he slapped the ribs on the grill to warm them up. I heated up the beans and pulled pork in pans in the house. Let me say, we were all totally shocked! When one gets food for review, you just never know. BUT, I would eat this every day!! OH MY.. the ribs were so tender they fell off the bones! I am not a fan of beans, but the fact they all were gone means they were a hit. The pulled pork was amazing! But, I have to say out of everything that day, I have fallen in love with the Chipotle BBQ sauce. I now use it on everything!
If you are looking for some amazing, easy, affordable foods to add to your next food type function make sure you check out Montgomery Inn and let me know what you got and how you liked it.
About the Montgomery Inn
In 1951, Ted and Matula Gregory opened a small family restaurant in Montgomery, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. Since then, the Montgomery Inn has delighted consumers across the region.
Matula, a talented cook, soon became known for her delicious recipe of barbequed ribs and sauce and diners traveled from near and far to enjoy them. Eventually the husband and wife team became known as the “Ribs King & Queen!” As patrons spread the word about the restaurant and its top-secret barbeque sauce far and wide, what began as a humble dream then became iconic.
There are two Montgomery Inn locations in the Cincinnati region and one in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.
