I have to admit that I am for sure a boob girl. Back in high school I was happy with my boob size and would have never thought about having any kind of cosmetic surgery including breast implants. Well, let’s just say that life happens.. or more so kids happen. Ha! I only had one kid and after he was born I was visited by that dreadful boob fairy. Not the good kind of fairy either! This isn’t the one that brings a person good things, this is the one that takes away what you had and leaves you feeling depressed, insecure, sad, and just frustrated because clothes don’t fit right, and you have to wear a bra 24/7 just to look like you have boobs that are the same size as they once were. Yup.. that is the boob fairy that visited me.
My son was born in 1992, and I didn’t know I had a choice to change my appearance. Well I knew about implants but back then I didn’t know anyone who had them that I could talk to about such a procedure and I was broke and didn’t think I could ever afford it. So, fast forward to 1994 when I met my now hubby. My hubby’s mom had breast implants and I was very intrigued and talked to her many times about it. She turned me onto the Dr. who did her implant surgery and so in 1997 I went in for a consult. I finally took the plunge and got my breast implants in 1998. Wow.. not cheap! But it was something I really wanted to do for myself. Well sad to say my first pair didn’t turn out as I had hoped and I had to have them redone a year later. Now, almost 13 years later I am looking at redoing them again. I love my boobs, but having an issue with one of them. But good for me the price of breast implants is more affordable today than back when I had them first done. In fact the price of any cosmetic surgery is more affordable today than 13 years ago. Funny how that is since everything else in life seems to just go up and up in price. I have done a lot of checking around and what I find is that if you are open to leaving your state or even country you can find a great deal. I know for me, I can go somewhere local with a 45 minute drive from home or I can go further down south with a 3 hour drive and save a ton of money. I am not happy I have to have them redone, as it is more money on boobs.. but being that I am 41 and keep myself in shape I will find a way to afford it. I just wish that I didn’t have capsular contracture, but that is life.
If you have had the boob fairy visit you remember you do have options.
