Weekend Thoughts, Tips, and Tricks

Just a quick Friday blog to say see ya’ll on Monday. I am off for the weekend to do a garage sale with my sister so won’t be online till Monday.

First.. Did you get your workout done for today? No.. why not? The only way to be healthy is to be active.. so no matter what you do.. just take 30 min to get that heart rate up ;)

I am a huge salad freak…. Love them. I would eat salad every day for my lunch. Do you know that a salad is a great meal if you add the right ingredients. Don’t fill you salad up with a ton of calories, carbs, and fat. A mix of fresh greens, carrots, some cut up grilled chicken, and a nice dressing. (not buttermilk either).
Here is a great dressing to try…
* Sea salt—shake liberally
* Pepper (preferably fresh ground)
* Olive oil
* Fresh lemon juice (1/2 lemon for a solo salad, 1 whole lemon for 2 people)
It is so yummy, and refreshing.

I would also like to have you all take a moment to remember 9/11 and all who were effected on that date and over the last 8 years.

    I do eat a salad every day for my lunch! I don't like creamy dressings. In fact, I really don't like dressings. I use just plain ole balsamic vinegar… no oil. Love them!!! My salads are pretty simple too, mixed lettuce, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, green peppers, olives, garbanzo beans, and avocado. Delish!
