I know how busy life can be and sometimes in the mornings when there are little ones running around, lunches to get packed, hubby to send off to work, or even getting yourself ready while doing all the other “MOM” duties, breakfast is the last thing you might think you have time for. Yeah, I know you feed everyone else, but do you take time to feed yourself? Stop skipping the most important meal of your day, and enjoy a healthy and yummy Quaker Shake to kick start your day.
Maybe you are a “grab a latte” at a coffee shop kind of girl. Well, give Quaker Shakes a try instead. Swap out your unhealthy morning routine with a Quaker Shake in either Vanilla, Chocolate or Strawberry. Quaker shakes are packed with 8g of whole grain oats, 10g of protein, 6g of fiber*, and 200 calories. This makes them a great start to anyone’s day.
I have to say that I have tried many breakfast shakes, meal replacement shakes and drink mixes and some are horrible, some are so so and some are great. Well, these for me fall between so so and great. They are a bit thick, which I like, and they do taste good. The only downfall for me is that like most, they are to sweet for me. Some people like sweet shakes but for breakfast I am not into super sweet. However, I did take the chocolate, put it in my blender with a half a banana and a tablespoon of peanut butter and that made an amazing breakfast smoothie. I liked it so much I tried it with the strawberry, but didn’t use peanut butter in that one and it was just as yummy. It helped to tone down the sweetness some.
