If you have been a Living Smart Girl follower for a while now you will know how much I like my mineral makeup. Back in 2008 I was visiting a friend in Florida and we were staying at Disney (being kids again). One morning we were putting on our faces and I was using a mineral makeup I got from another company… and complaining about it. She pulled out her Bare Escentual mineral makeup and from that day I was hooked on BE. I have tried others over the last few years but continue to be faithful to my BE line. I use the makeup, the face wash and lotion, the self tanner, … all of it!! Love it!! My only complaint is the ease of use. I do not like the loose powder. Yeah, they updated their containers so now when you travel they don’t spill all over inside the lid and make a hell of a mess when you open them. But, I still am not a loose powder girl!
Well… a month ago I was at a local beauty shop and on my way to the register to pay for my new style I walked by a table with some PurMinerals on it. So, I stopped and asked a few questions. The gal showed me all the goodies, and after looking, reading and thinking.. I bought a starter kit. OH MY!! I am sold!! I have been using it daily and love it!!
Their face powder is a compact pressed mineral powder. That is a huge deal to me!! You can get it all in either pressed powder of mineral rocks! Cool!!
As with anything I try new I try one product at a time since my skin is very sensitive. So the first few days I only used the foundation, then added the blush, and then the mineral glow. I use ONLY these three products just about every day. I use the foundation, then put the mineral glow on my eyebrow/eyelid area and then a light stroke of the blush. I look natural, not flaky, and it stays all day with no touch up. I can also sleep in it and it doesn’t end up on my pillow or sheets. I generally wash my face every night,…but sometimes forget if my nights turn into early mornings (downfall of being a bar owner)
I have not tried all their other products but can’t wait to dig into things one at a time. I am still using the remainder of my BE face wash and lotion. Those I am happy with so am not sure how fast I will change over those 2 things. I am still stuck on the BE Blemish Control. But one by one I will try the PurMinerals and keep everyone updated.
