If you are like me you are always looking for cute and unique ways to simplify your life. Check out my Mason Jar Fun with Recap Mason Jar Lids. I am a huge one for not using any plastic containers or bottles if I can avoid it. Yes, I have a few shaker bottles for my protein shakes, and one that I take on the go with me, because here in Minnesota if I leave a glass bottle in my car in the winter I will not have it for long. I also like to use mason jars around my house for all kinds of things. I have them in the kitchen with loose leaf tea, misc spices, tart melts and other goodies. I even use them in my bathroom for cotton balls, Qtips, my makeup brushes and other stuff as well. Love mason jars.
A couple years ago I got an email from one of those sites where people launch new products and sell xx amount to get enough money to manufacture the item. The email was for the Recap Pour lid. I thought.. sweet idea and of course I paid for one. Well, it seemed like forever and I kept waiting and waiting and finally, I got an email one day with info on the lid I purchased and then I had the choice to buy other lids they had, so I picked up the Recap Flip as well but really wasn’t sure what I would use it for.
I have been using the Recap pour lid for over a year now. I love it!! And everyone who sees me use it asks where I got it because they want mine. NO, I am not giving up mine!! LOL! The Recap Flip has been sitting in my kitchen drawer for over a year and I really wasn’t sure what to use it on. So, last fall my husband and I did a road trip to Door County, Wi., and we stopped at a cute little food market. I grabbed this cute little jar of honey and it’s been in my cupboard since. I have used it a couple times for my tea, but the lid on it was always stuck and hard to open and I just got frustrated and gave up. Then, a light bulb went off. Snaps.. I have a lid from Recap!! So, dug my lid out, and it is perfect!! I can now get my honey out easily, and quickly without hurting my hands trying to open it. Thanks Recap!! After I use all this honey I will just refill the jar with any kind of raw honey I find.
Have you seen them before? Would you use something like this?
