Ladies, Let’s Get Healthy!

Ladies, Let’s Get Healthy!

Most women today are unhappy with the high number appearing on the scale or the way that their clothes fit. That is why the number of people who are choosing to get lipo has grown tremendously over the past few years. Surgery is risky and very expensive so it should always be a last resort. There are a number of ways that a woman can get healthy without resorting to some tummy liposuction. Below are some of those ways:

Eat a well-balanced diet

The body has to be fueled with the right nutrients in order to stay healthy. A well-balanced diet is one that is filled with fruits, vegetables, lean meat and whole grains. It should also be low in red meat, sweets and fried foods. A woman should also make sure that she eats at least 1500 calories per day. Restricting one’s caloric intake too much can hinder the weight loss process by slowing down the metabolism.

Drink plenty of water

Scientists have found that the human body is composed of approximately 70 percent water. A woman needs anywhere from 8-10 glasses of water per day. Studies have shown that people who get the recommended intake of water can lose up to six additional pounds per year.

Water helps keep the body full longer which can help a woman eat less. There has also been evidence to suggest that drinking water can increase metabolism slightly. Replacing sugary beverages with water can also help create a calorie deficit. For example, the average can of soda has around 150 calories. If a woman replaces three sodas with water, she can create a calorie deficit of 450 calories. Replacing soda with water is a lot less expensive than the liposuction cost.

Limit alcohol intake

If a woman chooses to consume alcoholic beverages, she should only consume one per day. Exceeding more than the recommended intake of alcohol can lead to weight gain as well as numerous other health problems.

Reduce stress

Women today are busier than ever. Many are trying to balance a career with raising a family and that can lead to stress. It is very important for women to take time out to relax. Stress can cause the level of cortisol in the body to rise. Cortisol is a hormone that can lead to weight gain. Stress can also cause a woman to overeat. Exercising, reading a book, getting a massage, listening to music and meditating are some simple ways that a woman can reduce her stress level.

Do not smoke

Smoking does not cause weight gain, but it can lead to poor overall health. Studies have shown that women who smoke have a much higher incidence of heart disease and lung cancer. There has also been evidence suggesting that smoking can impair fertility.

Many women are choosing to pay the high liposuction costs, but surgery should always be the last resort. Eating healthy, drinking water, limiting alcohol intake, reducing stress and not smoking are simple ways that a woman can get healthy without doing anything drastic.
