I recently started using old wooden thread spools as hooks in my craft room. They work great and are a cute little addition to the space. All you need is a long enough screw to go through the spool and into the wall. Many crafting supply stores actually sell wooden thread spools, upwards of $30 for 3! Instead, If you don’t have any lying around I suggest going to rummage sales and flea markets and look for people selling old sewing supplies. They would even work great as handles for drawers or cupboards.
