Flu Season is in Full Swing!
Did you get your flu vaccine yet? There is still time if you have not.
It is all over the news this last month or so. Hospitals have an overwhelming amount of sick people. I know where I live our hospitals are full and have had to turn people away. It is just sad, and crazy how sick a person with the flu can become.
Everyone who is 6 months old or older should be vaccinated with the flu vaccine every year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
If you are at a high risk of serious complications from the flu, are pregnant, are 65 years old or older, have certain medical conditions including asthma, diabetes and chronic lung disease, or live or care for people who are at high risk of complications from the flu it is very important you get your flu shot.
Did you know that the flu strain changes every year? I just learned that recently. So, don’t think that because you got a shot last year, that you are good. You need the shot every year as the strain changes and so does the vaccine.
You may choose to not have the vaccine, as it is your body and your choice.
As always, eat healthy, exercise, wash your hands often and be safe

We’ve all had our flu shots this year. I think it is super important!
The flu is pretty scary. I know a lot of people personally who have gotten this thread of the flu this year. Pretty scary.
I just got my flu shot last week and they were almost OUT of them at the pharmacy. I kept putting it off until my younger boys GOT the flu over Christmas. Now to get my youngest his flu vaccination… if there’s any left!
We opted to not get the flu shots and all ended up witht he flu this year

But, you could have gotten the shot and still ended up with the flu. So, you just never know.
Informative post. We do not get the flu shot in our house for our own reasons. One of these being is that they make it for what they “think” is going to be the strain for that year. I have a had time giving myself a shot to weaken my immune system and leave me more open to actually getting the virus. But this is my opinion and I respect those of you who do get the vaccine.
Thank you for giving some more insight into the vaccine though. It brings up good points that we need to be educated on.
I am with you, but know there are many who are not in the same place as us. I post to help everyone.
