It’s Burger Bar Brunch Time with MorningStar Farms

Life is so busy here at the Thomas household and we always seem to be on the go. It’s either running errands, working, taking care of the house and yard, remodeling something, taking a vacation, entertaining family and friends, spending time on our lake, or jumping on the bike for an afternoon ride. Whatever it is we seem to be doing, one thing that always slips my mind is taking something out for breakfast or lunch on days my hubby is off. Since we never know what the day will bring, I just never know what to prepare for.
Last week we had plans to be gone for the day, but last minute we changed them and stayed home to work on the house. Well, out of nowhere my Dad stopped in. (secretly he must have wanted to help us work on the house). LOL! I started to think, now what can I whip up for us all to eat. Then it hit me, I have MorningStar Farms burgers in the freezer. YES! I will make those!! Since I hadn’t really planned anything, I couldn’t use these to make any kind of recipe because I was short on just about all ingredients for anything good, so I decided to do a burger bar brunch. I cooked up the burgers as the package directions said, and laid out some lettuce, tomatoes, buns, and juice. I wasn’t sure about the burgers as I had never bought them or had them before and as you can see from the picture they look really, well done! But, they are cooked as the package states.
We had Mediterranean Chickpea and Griller’s Original. Both were very very good. I loved the Mediterranean Chickpea one and hubby favored the Grillers Original. I actually made myself a double burger, with one patty of each on it. That was really delicious! I actually don’t eat tomatoes so took that off but threw on some pickles. I have to say, me being a huge burger lover I really did like these and plan to keep them on hand for more meal ideas and quick meals. Like, a meatless Monday dish or two.
My Dad was impressed with these since he is not a healthy food kinda guy. He looked at me funny when I showed him what I was cooking, but was very pleased after eating and actually said he was going to pick some up for meals in a pinch. MorningStar Farms has a great selection so do check them out next time you get to the grocery store.
