All My Favorite Foods in One Bag
I am a huge chip hound, HUGE! And since i have started to really eat clean and watch what goes in my mouth I have been not eating (enjoying) my chips like I used too. I have been exploring other alternatives to my salt cravings and have been finding some very yummy replacements. One of which is the new Green Giant Veggie Snacks. Made with real vegetables these snacks don’t leave me with the feeling of “guilt” when I am eating them. I love the taste, the ingredients, and the fact they come in multiple flavors. No matter your mood, or taste, or what you want to use these chips for there is surely a flavor for you. Choose from Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips Garden Ranch, Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips Barbecue, Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips Zesty Cheddar, or Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips Sea Salt.
I was so excited when my box of Green Giant Chips came. I opened the box to find inside the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips Garden Ranch and the Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips Barbecue. YUM!! I love sweet potato’s and when I can eat them in chip form that just makes me love them more. Well, I got my box, and laid my chips on the counter. I went about my day and the next time I walked into the kitchen half my bag of the garden ranch chips was gone. Hmmm…now who could have eaten those ? Since it is only me and my husband living here I am giving you ONE guess LOL!! So, I had to take a picture of my chips before the bag was totally gone. Here was my chip swag ~ you can see that the one bag was opened. LOL
Before the night was over, the bag was empty so I am glad I got a picture when I did. And, this was the first time hubby tried the chips to and he is sold on them. He is not a huge chip person like me, but the taste and crunch was all it took to make him a lover. These chips are super crunchy. A joy to eat! Yes… I said a joy to eat. If you can’t enjoy your food, why eat it. I know we have to eat to stay alive but when I am having fun foods I want to enjoy them. Heck, I actually want to enjoy everything I eat, and I do!
We had to go to town the other day and because I didn’t get to try the garden ranch chips I bought me some at the store. When we got home I had them in my hand and was heading to the house, but got distracted by my garden so set the chips down and went to my garden. We were planning dinner and I had some carrots in a colander that I was going to use so asked hubby to grab me the colander so I could put some snow peas in it for dinner. Well, we were being silly with the chips so I put some on my snow peas plant and took some fun pics. They are made with veggies, and I thought how cool if I could grow my own Green Giant Veggie Snacks. ??? Well, you can’t grow them and they do not replace veggies but we were having fun.
This is my snow pea (snap peas) garden. I have 3 gardens in my yard made from old wash basins from a school. They weigh about 600# or more each and we have them set up on top of wooden wire reels. I have carrots in one, cucumbers and squash in one and snow peas in one. Dinner tonight is carrots and peas, chicken breasts on the grill and homemade guacamole that we will eat using the garden ranch chips. My homemade guacamole is just avocado, a bit of olive oil, and some seasoning of choice, if I season it. When eating with a flavored chip I don’t season it. Healthy and YUM!
Have you tried these chips? What ones are your favorites? What do you like best about them?
